Amendment 5

Amendment 5 lists all the rights of people acussed of a crime. It saves people from getting punished for a crime they didn't do and gives everyone the right to a fair trial.



All about the Amendment

This amendment gives everybody a right to not be acused for a crime with a punishment of death, prison, or loss of rights unless a panel of 12-23 citzens think there is enogh evidence for a trial.  This amendment also protects people from self-incrimination, and being tried for the same crime twice.  Everybody is also entitled to a fair and equal trial. This is because of due process.  This amendment is also in the Bill of Rights.
